Redditch Primary Care Group, a sub-committee of Worcestershire Health Authority, seeks to identify local health needs and improve healthcare for the local population, as well as ensuring that all residents have equal access to quality healthcare. Within the Redditch
area there are 12 GP practices, 11 chemists, 14 dental practices
and a number of optometrists who either sight-test, dispense or both.

The main health care centre in the town is the Alexandra Hospital, which provides district general hospital care. Specialist services are available in Birmingham and Worcester.
